BYTE GUARDIANS

Privacy Policy

The game that teaches kids to protect their privacy and protects theirs, too.

Effective date: June 17, 2026  Â·  App: Byte Guardians  Â·  By: CyberWave Technologies LLC

The short version

Byte Guardians does not collect any data. None. It's a free game for kids that runs completely offline no internet connection, no account, no login. Everything your child does (progress, Cyber Points, ranks, Cyber Codex entries) is saved only on the device and is never sent to us or anyone else.

1. Who we are

Byte Guardians is made by CyberWave Technologies LLC ("we," "us," "our"). It is a free educational game that teaches children online safety and cybersecurity skills through a superhero adventure. Questions about this policy or your child's privacy? Email info@cyberwaveglobal.com.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information or any other data through the Byte Guardians app. Specifically, we do not collect:

The app contains no code that sends information off the device for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose.

3. Information stored on your child's device

So your child can continue where they left off, Byte Guardians saves game data locally on the device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults). This includes level/world progress, Cyber Points (cosmetic rewards only they cannot be bought or sold), Community Guardian rank, unlocked Cyber Codex entries, and app/accessibility settings.

This information never leaves the device. It is not transmitted to CyberWave Technologies, to Apple, or to any third party. We cannot see it. Deleting the app removes this data (see Section 8).

4. No ads and no tracking

Byte Guardians contains no advertising of any kind no banner, video, rewarded, or targeted ads. The app does not track your child across apps or websites and uses no advertising identifiers.

5. No third parties

Byte Guardians includes no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, social-media integrations, or external content services. No third party receives any information from the app, because the app shares none.

6. Made for kids COPPA & GDPR-K

Byte Guardians is intended for children and is published in the App Store Kids Category. We comply with applicable children's-privacy laws.

COPPA (United States)

Because Byte Guardians collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13, there is nothing to disclose, no data-collection-triggered parental-consent requirement, and nothing to delete from our servers (we have none for this app). The app does not let children make personal information publicly available and contains no behavioral advertising.

GDPR & "GDPR-K" (EU/UK)

Because we process no personal data through Byte Guardians, the GDPR's processing obligations do not arise from app use. We do not profile children or use their data for marketing, and we rely on no consent because there is no data processing.

Parental controls

Adult-only features live in the Parent Hub, protected behind a parental gate: an adult must solve a multiplication challenge (intended for grown-ups, not young children) to reach app settings, the progress-reset control, and external links such as this policy and our contact email.

7. Parental rights and choices

Because we collect no data, there is no personal information for us to access, correct, or delete on a server. You stay in control on the device:

8. How to delete data

Two ways, both entirely under your control:

1. Reset all progress in the app, open the Parent Hub (clear the parental gate), then choose "Reset all progress."
2. Delete the app removing Byte Guardians from the device deletes all of its on-device data.

Because nothing is ever uploaded, there is no copy of your child's data anywhere else for us to delete.

9. Data security

The only data Byte Guardians stores lives on your child's device, protected by the device's own security (passcode / Face ID / Touch ID and iOS app sandboxing). With no data transmitted or stored on external servers, there is no risk of a server-side breach involving Byte Guardians user data.

10. Changes to this policy

If we ever change Byte Guardians in a way that affects privacy (for example, adding an internet-using feature), we will update this policy, change the effective date above, and where required seek verifiable parental consent before any collection of personal information from children. The current version always reflects how the app behaves today: no data collection, fully offline.
